Presentation of the Rennes Atalante science park's sites
The technology and science park has five labelled park sites, close to university campuses, which welcome more than half of the Rennes Atalante’s members.
These park sites contribute to develop synergy between the industrialists and scientists. |

Rennes Atalante Beaulieu gathers companies, research centres, and higher education establishments in the Information and communication technologies.
Rennes Atalante Villejean is the centre for health sciences.
Rennes Atalante Champeaux is the park site of food-processing and environment players.
Rennes Atalante Saint-Malo is a site dedicated to marine biotechnologies as well as the Information and communication technologies.
Rennes Atalante Ker Lann is the location for mechanical and production engineering sector. |
Rennes Atalante Beaulieu
A site to set up companies of the electronics and Information and communication technology sector, in the heart of a scientific campus of 15,000 people.
Location: near the University of Rennes 1 science campus (east of
Rennes)
Area: 270 hectares (including 40 hectares vacant)
You will find:
- 111 companies (7,244 staff),
- a university town of 58,500 people of which 5,200 are studying electronics and ICT,
- 745 graduated engineers per year in electronics and ICT,
- 56 research laboratories (including 38% in the IT sector),
- a unique set of technical platforms : clean rooms, anechoid chambers, virtual reality center, Grid 5000, biocomputing, Echo 3D andIPv6 platforms,

Rennes Atalante Champeaux
A site to set up companies of food-processing and environment sectors in the heart of the France's 2nd largest centre for courses in agricultural engineering and relating to the food industry.
Location: near the agricultural engineering campus (west of Rennes)
Area: 20 hectares
You will find:
- 18 companies (1 017 staff),
- 25 teaching and research laboratories (Ensar/Insfa, Inra),
- an agricultural engineering campus of 850 students,
- numerous scientific skills in environment, agricultural engineering and food-processing sectors,
- a pilot installation used for the concentration, evaporation and drying of food products,
- a technology pilot plant for dairy industry,
- a sensory analysis laboratory,

Rennes Atalante Ker Lann
A site to set up companies of the mechanical and production engineering sector or linked to the human movement study in the heart of a technology campus of 4,800 students.
Location: on the outer road network encircling Greater Rennes, in the town of Bruz (south of Rennes).
Area: 170 hectares (of wich 60 are available)
You will find:
- a technology campus of 4,800 students,
- a centre for rapid prototyping and high-speed,

material specification equipment,
- a laser welding test centre,
- the public research incubator,
- sport and restaurant facilities,
- private rental premises,
- a bus lane,

Rennes Atalante Saint-Malo
A location dedicated to marine biotechnologies and ICT
Availibility: in 2007
Location: in the Blanche Roche area, at the entrance of Saint-Malo, between Saint-Malo and Saint-Jouan des Guérets.
Area: 70 hectares
Awaiting the development of the park site of Saint-Malo, the district of Saint-Malo gives the young companies the opportunity to set up in a business incubator located in the activity park called “Les Mottais”.

Rennes Atalante Villejean
A site to set up companies of the medical technology sector in the heart of a teaching hospital complex and university campus of 13,500 people
Location: near the teaching hospital complex and university campus
(north-west of Rennes)
Area: 10 hectares
You will find:
- 11 companies (556 staff),
- 6,500 students in the medical sector,
- 780 graduated engineers and Ph.Ds. per year in health sciences,
- numerous scientific skills
within 20 research units,
- a biological resources centre,
- a clinical investigation centre,
- a unique set of technical
platforms (imaging, transcriptomics, proteomics, supercomputer...),
- private rental premises.
